The Idaho Falls City Council is currently meeting to discuss a number of agenda items. One of those items is a possible mask mandate.

Earlier in the afternoon the Pocatello City Council met and decided no to pass a similar mandate that would have made it mandatory for Pocatello residents to wear a face covering in public.

The Idaho Falls City Council meeting started at 7:30 p.m. There are multiple items on the agenda. The mask mandate is not until the end.

For reference, the Pocatello meeting started at 9:00 a.m. and the council did not address the mask issue until around 2:00 p.m.

The Idaho Falls decision may not come until later tonight.

KPVI will have more information as it comes.
