IDA to offer seasonal flights to Portland, OR

Idaho Falls Regional Airport adds a flight to another major city on the west coast.

Through allegiant airlines the Idaho Falls airport will be connecting east Idaho to the Pacific Northwest through Portland, Oregon.

The flight to Portland will be a seasonal one beginning on May 28th and ending August 16th.

This follows Allegiant's most recent route from Idaho Falls to San Diego in its effort to better expand air service in eastern Idaho.

Rick Coultier, Director of the airport, says "the city council... and the mayor and  the city council are very supportive of the airport and the region on a whole is supportive. So we are looking to expand more flights, to have more direct flights, to connect our community to more of the country."

The airport is still completing their expansion of the terminal and expecting to be done by the summer of 2021.
