The Museum of Idaho was given the gift of helping others through access to education. That’s thanks to a $19,000 check from Idahoan Foods.
“What we found in the museum is a great opportunity to provide people access to enriching, engaging, educational opportunities and material that’s unique to Idaho Falls. The resource this museum offers is the best of its kind in the state-and that’s pretty spectacular and we are proud of that here in Idaho Falls.
The Museum has may educational programs.
But, this donation helps those who receive assistance through SNAP, a food program. Some children may not get the opportunity to visit the museum without the admission assistance that the donation provides.
“It allows us to fulfill a piece of our vision of the museum by bringing the world to Idaho and Idaho to the world, because we can inspire wonder and discovery in the sciences and humanities as well as maybe spark an interest in a kid. This provides access. “
Families have already started gaining access to the museum, roughly 100 so far.
Because of that, the museum and Idahoan Foods hope to bridge the gap for students and the next generation of Idahoans in STEM.
