It was a day of service at The Idaho Foodbank in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The Idaho Foodbank hosted over 150 volunteers between all three of their locations in Boise, Lewiston, and Pocatello.

In Pocatello, students from Idaho State University volunteered in the warehouse packing bags of food in assembly lines for those in need.

Kylar Thornton, Volunteer from Idaho State University said, "I chose the foodbank because I actually was part of the backpacks while I was in school. I received some backpacks like every week I would get food from the foodbank so just like kind of returning the service that was done for me."

Volunteers are crucial to The Idaho Foodbank. In 2018 alone, over 24,000 people volunteered.
