Police say two teenagers pulled a gun on an alleged drug dealer Sunday in Old Town Pocatello. Pocatello Police representative Eric Anderson says the teenage boys and three others drove from Rexburg Sunday to confront the victim.
At around 10:20 p.m., police got a call about shots fired near the 300 block of North Main Street. Police went to the area and stopped a car matching the description given in the 911 call.
Officers detained two teenage boys, two teenage girls, and one adult man in the traffic stop, finding a shotgun with one of the teens. There's no evidence it was actually fired.
Anderson says the incident can be boiled down to a drug deal gone bad.
"These subjects had paid $800 for weed and they didn't get their product or their money back so they...wanted their weed or the money back," say Lieutenant Eric Anderson, Pocatello Police Department PIO.
Anderson says it's unclear if the victim will be investigated for the drug allegations. Officers arrested the teenage boys, one for aggravated assault and the other for acting as an accessory for aggravated assault.
Police took them to the juvenile detention center at 3 a.m.
