The Canyon County Elections Office is looking for poll workers for the upcoming Nov. 8 general election.

According to a news release from the county, poll workers’ responsibilities include helping voters through the check-in process by verifying names and addresses, registering voters, issuing ballots and handing out “I Voted” stickers.

The elections office said that poll workers must be able to work a 14-hour day on Election Day, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pay is $149 and poll workers must attend a short training session.

Those interested in applying must be 16 years or older and a U.S. citizen. An application is available on the Canyon County website (canyonco.org/pollworker/). For more information, call the Elections Office at 208-454-7562.
